About Writers Commission

ART • STREETWEAR • CULTURE

Writers Commission was created from a simple idea: graffiti and street art are more than something you see on a wall. They're culture, expression, identity, conversation and community.

We're building a place where those ideas can live beyond the wall — through clothing, artwork, independent artists, limited pieces and conversations about the culture surrounding them.

We're starting small.

But the ambition is global.

BUILT FROM THE CULTURE

Writers Commission brings together graffiti-inspired design, streetwear, contemporary artwork and independent creative voices.

Some pieces are created by us.

Some come from artists we collaborate with.

Some are designed to start a conversation.

And some are simply made because we think they look fucking good.

There isn't one definition of graffiti culture — and we don't want there to be.

THE COMMISSION

The name Writers Commission represents the idea of bringing creators together.

We're building a growing community where independent artists and designers can eventually showcase their own collections and reach people beyond their existing audience.

Artists shouldn't have to fit into one style.

They should have the freedom to create their own.

STRANJR

STRANJR

Independent artwork, hand-customised pieces and wearable art.

STRANJR explores original characters, doodles, paintings and experimental street-art inspired designs across one-of-one physical pieces, limited editions, prints and made-to-order apparel.

Some pieces are individually created by hand. Others bring STRANJR artwork to a wider audience through made-to-order clothing and accessories.

Every piece starts with the artwork.

One-off when it's one-off. Wearable when you want it.

STEVE'S THOUGHTS

Sometimes the easiest way to talk about complicated subjects is through a character.

Steve has opinions.

Steve's Thoughts uses humour, observation and artwork to explore everyday life, culture, society and the things people argue about.

You don't always have to agree with Steve.

That's kind of the point.

enjoy!
